The Fourth Devlog of Blueblack


Welcome to the fourth devlog of Blueblack!

For the past 1 month we have made significant progress and improvements to our game!

Let’s start off with enemy changes.

We have given our little green enemy a nice model.

Introducing the second tier of enemies! Here we have a tier 2 variant of the red enemy. 

The tier 2 red enemy is able to dash a blaze multiple times.

We have added a new visual effect indicating the effectiveness of using the correct colour to fight enemies.

This visual effect allows the player to see which colour is in use.

Press and hold the attack button to unleash a devastating attack!

The player can now activate special abilities based on the chosen colour!

This allows the player to counter the corresponding enemies.

Red allows the player to do a thrust attack!

The blue ability allows the player to shield themselves from projectiles reflecting it back to the attacker. If successfully reflected, the shield will explode dealing area damage.

The green ability is able to slow down projectiles and cure the player from negative effects such as poison!

To sum up, we have added Tier 2 enemies, more visual effects and special abilities for the player. These additions will amp up the core gameplay of Blank Canvas!
