Proof of Concept
First Draft
The first ever draft concept was to create a maze game that the player would navigate through all the way until the end
The first concept was to have someone who was visually impaired tapping around them with a stick before they chose the direction to walk towards. Eventually, that was simplified into just having the player walking around and having the sound come from their footsteps instead. Initially, the character was walking on a floating platform as well, but that was changed to have obstacles that the player could bump into.
Basic Movement
So, the first step was ensuring that player had navigation and could also bump into walls, while following a sound. In order to avoid confusion, the movement was sheared down to walking backwards and forwards, and making 90 degree turns.
